Working with Sarah and getting connected with Assisted Living Locators was probably the best thing that could have happened during one of the hardest life chapters transitioning my grandma into memory care. Trusting outside systems to care for someone you love can be scary and hard to let go, but Sarah made it easy. She was there for me every step of the way, and took away the added stress of trying to find the best possible location and fit for my grandma… I sincerely believe Sarah and her team are the best people for this work because they get it and it’s not about “pushing sales,” it’s about genuine and individualized care for each family, and each elder, which I got to experience first hand. If I could give 10 stars I would. My grandmother suddenly fell ill and needed immediate care. The idea of facing these major life changes alone without family to help was incredibly scary. Sara was a joy to work with in finding a placement for our dad.  So glad a facility that couldn’t take him in recommended Sara and she saved us so much time and heartache. This 5 star rating is for Sara.  If you are working with her, you are 100% in good hands. When we first started looking for memory care for my dad, we were randomly calling facilities.  This was an ineffective process. We got introduced to Sara from a neighbor who had his wife placed by Sara and gave a raving recommendation. Several things to consider when looking for help with this: 1. Make SURE the agent is local ~ many of the other services are NATIONAL and may not actually know about the ins & outs of each location in the Twin Cities metro area. 2a. There is ZERO out of pocket costs for using ALL 2b. Make SURE compensation happens correctly (I'm in sales ~ this is important.  Please don't call the assisted living places directly.  If I would have called first and dad got placed there, Sara might not have gotten paid.  That is not OK for all of the work she did helping us. 3. If you have questions or concerns ~ ASK Sara.  There are no bad or dumb questions when making sure a family member is safe and in the right place. 4. Don't wait too long.  This can be a lengthy process.  Start earlier than you think.  With Alzheimer's or Dementia, the decline can happen fast. Thank you, Sara. We are grateful for helping us with a emotionally charged and just plain hard situation.

Assisted Living Locators was recommended to me by a social worker at a facility where a friend who I am medical PoA for was recovering, but the facility had no rooms for him to stay in their memory care.  We needed to find a place he’d be happy in short order, and had location constraints as well to keep him near friends.  There were also many unknowns about finances initially as we were working through a fiduciary company as his financial PoA. Sara jumped in, explained her background in several related areas of healthcare and asked numerous good questions to understand what the friend would appreciate.  She provided a curated list of 7 places that had rooms available that met the constraints.  Once I’d reviewed them, she answered questions and helped me pick two to visit to see if I thought they were a fit prior to bringing K. there for a visit.  Both were a good fit.  She helped arrange visits, K. loved the first place.  Sara was helpful and supported us through move-in.
